As they say"Failures are steps to success", today for the first time seriously, I got a little taste of it. It so happened that our group participated in an event organised by the management forum of our college. Basically there were four stages: 1. written test 2. group discussion 3. personal interview 4. ppt presentation . Overall our group stood second. We cruised to the final round. And the final one was really a hard fought one and it was altogether a healthy conpetition but true to say i felt a little taken aback when the results were announced. Maybe it's because of not winning the competiton. On the other hand, I learnt about my weaknesses, strengths and certainly i am going to work on my grey areas. So next i would be back with a more complete version of me..................
OURS- A COCOONED LIFE

We, indians tend to lead a very cocooned life. I mean , we are bound by restrictions imposed by family and society. Yet this basic thing has helped us to stick to our roots. But who is preserving these roots from getting withered?? Here comes our role to the forefront. Nurturing these values within oneself is an individual's choice. He may either falter or move on. With benefits, descrepancies too surface up. With passage of time, we become so much family- centered that we fail to fuflil our other obligations towards society, humanity and et cetera. Then we begin degrading our own children, satisfying their every petty desire. Stoic attitude is a rarity nowadays. What do you think fellas?
PROSTITUTION LEGALISED?

Is this a myth or reality? I can't believe some people are even thinking of this possibility in India. By this law, the lawmakers are certainly digging a death pit for themselves. I, personally feel the repurcussions will be drastic. Yesternight only I read an article titled-"Prostitution- A Victimless Crime". The staggering data of girlchild trafficking and the aloofness felt by the victims were enough to convince me of my stand. Some may even suggest to live by the example of America. But how many of you really feel we as Indians and India as a whole has grown enough to cope up with prostitution with such laws? I mean our culture doesn't permit us to do so. Rather than putting government's approval on it, new ways to curb prostitution should be devised. Efforts have to be made..........................
FRIENDSHIP: A BOND NEVER TO DEGRADE WITH TIME

Riding through the thick and thin, true friendship never wavers from its path. But what is true friendship? Is it the kind of friendship between Duryodhana and Karna or is it of Jai and Veeru's sort? Maneauvering the rough time of my life, i sometimes felt deserted. Shouldn't parental love be enough for us? Majority of us would answer in negation. Our hankering for a friend is directly proportional to desires that we cultivate and problems that we face. A true friend is someone with whom we can share even our darkest secrets. But what makes us to do so? It's our faith!! As said: there is a thin line demarcating friendship and enmity but honestly writing, for me, this is contradictory. True friendship is based on mutual love and dedication. So no matter what happens, true friends never cease protecting each other's backs. As usual, a question has crept in my mind: Should friendship be honoured greater than even righteousness and justice?(w.r.t. Mahabharata)???????

"Sudden rush of adrenaline" : this is what we all must have experienced at one point or the other in our life. Wise ones say nothing should be done to the extreme whether it is on the negative scale or on the positive note. Repurcussions are not always as expected. Sound mind, clear thoughts , determined motive and death defying attitude make up the masala for sure success!
WRONG DECISIONS, WHY?

Quite often we make mistakes in taking decisions. Sometimes the consequences are minimal while sometimes could be dangerous too. Wrong decision at right time or right decision at wrong time signifies more or less the same result. Reasons are many: carelessness, anxiety, fearfulness, distress, pressure, competition, lack of knowledge and et cetera. " Think twice before acting " as the saying goes needs to be implemented in our thought process! So all the best!
HOBBIES AT MY UNDERSTANDING

This is rather a queer topic but i think it's relevant here to share my opinion on it. HOBBIES : some say its a passion while some say its sheer wastage of time. But i strongly feel its not merely a tool of recreation and if taken seriously can turn out to be a life changing factor : i mean if pursued dedicatedly can get you a job. Truely speaking, it may not guarantee a highly paid one but the utter feeling of satisfaction of doing something meaningful in life is enough!:)

Until you are not an artist, its really difficult to understand his feelings. His world is a product of his imagination which he expresses through his master-piece. And such an artist is Mr. G.C Sharma,a renowned painter living in Nainital, Uttarakhkand. Kudos to him!
MISCONCEPTION AROUND MAHABHARATA

I am raised in a well to do family and i really do express my gratitude to my family be it maternal or paternal for imbibing such a beautiful indian culture in me. But one thing still bothers me : why does our epic "MAHABHARATA" is so infamous and is prohibited to be read in homes. Rightly quoted by some of the greatest writers, Mahabharata is a "DHARMA" yudh! A war between good and evil, between dharma and adharma, between treachery and loyalty and what not! Expertly written by Vyas, it deals with every complication that can arise in our life. Revolving around panadavas, Krsna and kauravas, it dictates the superiority of virtues over vices and immorality. Women play a significant role throughout the granth. It is to be experienced and that can only be done by one way : read it brothers and sisters!:)

I have deliberately used this caption. Metaphorically writing, never harness your entire strength on your journey to success. Keep in reserve your best weapon. Your adversaries are always in hunt of your weakness. Amaze them when they least expect, defeat them when they are over-confident and pity them when they are most vulnerable. True fighter fights only with the equals. Then victory is sure to be yours.
